    Whipple will not be back as OC

    Greg Cote
    UM coach Al Golden just told me directly Mark Whipple won't be back as off. coord., & strongly implied new OC will be from NFL.

    He's gonna need a splash hire at OC to get kids excited again....I will be telling Hill he needs to make sure we dont lose Dorsett, that dude will start from day one...

    Whip not coming back has been a done deal for a while. The coaches to be retained have been announced and the rest of the coaches knew they would not be returning. The question is who the new OC will be along with RB and Special Teams. We should know in the next day or two.

    Swag - are you saying the new OC is an OC in the NFL or former NFL OC?

    I know we've all said it a billion times today, but after J12 throws his third pick & we finally run the ball for a couple of first downs, the Clown named Whip goes empty backfield on 1st down.

    He goes empty backfield on 1st down.

    After we throw our third pick of the game, with our squad of backs, he goes empty backfield on 1st down--which he got by running the ball.

    After the ground game gets us across midfield--our OC says, "screw you play-action. EMPTY BACKFIELD BOYZ!"

    It is known that Whipple will not be back. I have not heard who the OC will be. I have heard a couple names being considered that have already been mentioned. I am very excited to see who it will be.
