Thread: Banning Twitter accounts

I heard Dumbo just banned players from using twitter accounts.
I hope Golden is planning on doing the same!

A player on a high profile team with a twitter account is much akin to handing a third-grader a live grenade.

You can tell them to be careful, but sometimes they don't think.

I doubt Golden will do that. He's about empowering his 'students' and enabling them to make the right decisions, not removing the ability for them to make a decision at all. That may result in an unnecessary tweet or two but I think that's probably the right way to do things.

There's really no reason to ban them. If they're gonna post things like ray ray it shows they shouldn't be a part of your program.

Agreed. Although, you do wonder if the policy might be modified to only ban those who show they're incapable of using it properly.

Never give children choices. They are clueless. The parent makes the choice.

Athletes are children in bigger bodies.

Society would be better off without twitter and facebook.
