The Canes added four new walk-ons: running back Joseph Rodgers,
wide receiver Josh Harris
, linebacker Ryan Williams
(a different person than the UM quarterback who wears No. 11) and ex-Cardinal Newman linebacker Austin Dane Sellers
, who went by his middle name during high school.
Sellers, from Boca Raton, graduated in 2012 from Newman, where he was a Post
All-Area selection. He is listed at 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds and will wear No. 46.
Williams (6-0, 230), who played at Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek High, will wear No. 47. Harris (6-0, 180) played at Muttontown (N Y.) Jericho High, on Long Island. He will wear No. 34. It is unknown if he will continue to maintain his website
The aforementioned three are listed as freshmen. Rodgers (6-2, 225), a junior, played tight end and running back at Miami Sunset High. He will wear No. 34.
Elsewhere in roster-based minutiae, junior walk-on receiver John D’Uva
has switched his number from 83 to 35. His former number will be worn by freshman signee Braxton Berrios
