    Scrimmage cancelled due to lightning.

Apparently they got some plays run.

Per #UM, Mike James & Duke Johnson had TDs before scrimmage was called & DE Kelvin Cain had sack in end zone for safety

    South Florida weather. SMH.

If possible can anyone give a percentage of how much of the scrimmage was completed?

    Scrimmage 2 results

Let's look at the significance of this: Al spoke like the DC would be nearly set after this scrimmage. Inside two weeks from kickoff, I'd have to agree with him.

But who the heck is starting where on defense?

That's pretty good for a kid who's too small to be effective at a high level.

Kid might be the first "Jeddi", which is what I'm callibg every skill position player who explodes under his tutelage.

I think Duke is gonna be a beast as soon as he runs onto the field at BC. The ONLY thing I'm worried about with him is can he take the hits from the college linebackers and safeties. He obviously needs to add some weight to be able to take the hits. On another note, sounds like the Defense is just more of the same. Can't clog the gaps and can't stop the run. We need our defense to step up HUGE this year.

Were the scores against the 1st team D?

Was the scrimmage 1 vs. 1, or 1 vs 2?

I'm not worried about Duke's size at all.

He has that natural ability of avoiding the brunt of hits. He's slippery.

190lbs going into his freshman season should be fine. His work load won't be very heavy.

Duke ain't going to have to do the heavy lifting.

Mike James is good to go, and I will not be the least bit surprised if he doesn't shock the living **** out of some teams this year and runs up significant numbers.

Clements will pull his own freight as well.

If Duke plays a few plays and busts one loose, just be coming back into the game, he'll be who everyone is keying on.
