Massive Academic Fraud at UNC missed by NCAA
During the NCAA investigation at UNC for academic cheating by Butch Davis's football team, the NCAA apparently missed the Elephant in the Room going back over a decade. Apparently UNC has had 54+ no show classes over the years for Athletes; where not only did they not have to attend class, but they also received fake grades. This scandal covers alot of sports at the school.
The NCAA apparently didn't want to know about this; because a reporter found this with a few months of research, an apparently the Board of Directors at the school is/was trying to bury the story. But it has come to light with the recent NCAA hammering of PSU, to show how inept the NCAA can be. Yet they practically Camp Out at Miami, make me want to see even more what type of sanctions UM gets.
Go Canes!

It's been said many times on these boards. But every big Div I program is bending/breaking the NCAA rules in one way shape or form. I've said it on CBS boards countless times, don't get on your high moral horse before looking at your own school. Apparently UNC goofed up recently with accidentally releasing Julius Pepper's transcript stating it was an example transcript. Yet one of the pages had his name on while the others had "Test One Jones". Needless to say, I guess Mr. Peppers wasn't that good of a student at all. But most would probably wonder how he was able to play without being suspended for poor academics.

NCAA has already said that the no-show classes are out of their jurisdiction........ somehow. I'm not so sure that this new info changes that. Kinda makes you wonder...

That OSU guys over and done with really fast. As was the Auburn/Cam Newton "investigation". UNC took a year or so but honestly there was so much going on there it should have taken years given the fact that there was academic fraud as well as kids getting money and free trips to South Beach. Not to mention they had a coach on staff who was heavily involved with agents. But watch ours drag on over a few bar tabs, steak dinners and pool tournaments.

Wow. Between Penn State and UNC, we may be given a rebate - allowed to play in TWO bowl games next year!
Just wait until they start looking at Clemson.
