Is it time for Barrow to go?

With his name popping up again, is it time?

Someone else brought it up, but I tend to agree, he is very important to the recruitment of key players in this class. I would surprised if he goes before NSD. IMO.

It seems as if the latest missive from Robinson is second-hand, based on speculation of an unidentified source and old news as far as the program was concerned.

If there was any truth to it, and if Barrow was in trouble, he would have been pushed out already.

So, since nothing has happened within the program where Barrow is concerned, I don't see Barrow leaving unless he gets a coaching offer that's a step up that MB is interested in.

Barrow has very little to do with actual coaching now... He is fully invested in working with highschool coaches and recruiting... Yes he still works with our players, but his emphisis is basically 90% recruiting and being a figure local coaches have access to... Golden really handled this right, he wasnt quite getting it done on the field and his strength is now being focused on..

If Barrow is dirty recruiting he will be gone but right now it is just all rumors. I wouldn't jump the gun on firing him.

I don't think Barrow is doing anything that terrible. The difference is just the microscope Miami is under, & the rat feeding Robinson "info".

    Rest in Peace, theu75.

We need Barrow to do what Barrow is doing.

    He's like an extension cord.

If they plan on getting rid of him anytime soon they'd damn sure better wait for NSD 2013. Kids love him.

Cvette: I totally agree. It has been circulating for over 3 years that Barrow;s strengths are local ties to coaching and not the ABCs of coaching. Being a Homestead boy, he knows most of the Dade and Broward coaches for years. All of the other guys, except for Kehoe, do not have the long established roots in SF. Barrows is also deeply religious and is not a con artist like the FSU dirtbag with ties to Dade-- coaches and others in the S.F. football scene respect him for his integrity. Everybody, I mean "everybody" takes a wink of the eye on seconday "violations" but I would be shocked if Barrow was a "flagrant" abuser. Golden knew that he was doing when he retained Barrow. Bridgewater must have some ax to grind with the U. Hurt is a piece of shit at Miami and always was a piece of shit. He is major scum and I hope he gets the ax from the NCAA.
