Yea.. Wasn't like Dorsett got wheel routes or fly routes. He was relegated to intermediate duties while Streeter and Benjamin got the long balls.

As for Lamar Miller an his "elite speed".. Kid ran a 4.40 in the combine. Btha is for all intents and purposes not what most would deem elite speed. Jeff Demps has elite speed.

I would think 4.4 is elite speed as opposed to Demps "world class" speed since he finished 7th in the 100 at the Olympic trials

First of all Watkins is far more talented and diverse than Ts is at this present moment and it's not close. Streeter is a one dimensional player with many flaws at his position. He was a nice college player but Watkins is a once a lifetime player for a program. His impact is felt in the running game , passing game ,return game and is elite at all of them. Just my .02 .

As for Dorsett , we're not saying he's slow because he's far from it but like Ed said " elite speed jumps off the screen". Even on a 10-15 yd play you see that electricity and explosion. I'm not judging him as a player or even his speed but as of right now I'm thinking his speed might of been a little overrated. But we'll see.

That was just an example of one of many go have been faster. Hank was a 4.45 kid and no one thought of him as one with elite speed.

    Just saying.

Also, I'd have preferred Rashad Greene over Dorsett but what can you do..

Kinda hard to judge on 40 times as bogus as they are ( unless electric) and that's why I try to judge with my eyes not by a questionable number . Percy ran 4.4 but he played at an unreal speed . IMO you know elite speed immediately with what your eyes tell ya.

That's exactly my point, his game speed wasn't 4.45 even though that was his electric time.

I quit believing 40 times a long time ago, just watch nfl combine every year and see how many 4.3's you see. Hardly any . But all these high schoolers run " 4.3's " . Pretty funny.

There's certainly a difference in just being fast and in playing fast.

Who knows. Maybe Malcolm will come in and absolutely rock our receiving group. Would be a pleasant change indeed.

Benny I think the entire wr group is gonna surprise some folks. I see Hurns,Dorsett ,Scott having good years and Lockhart / Lewis having nice freshmen years.

The question I have is who helps Dorsett stretch the field? Even though he's maybe not as fast as I built him up to be , he's still damn fast.
