Joe Paterno knew of and participated in the cover up for Jerry Sandisgusting.
If what is alleged in this article is true the punishments, penalties and punitive sanctions should be felt for generations in happy valley.
Totally outrageous. If Joe Pa really was complicit his legacy should be decimated. His statue should be torn down and raped.

Unfortunately the NCAA will likely not get involved as this is a federal manner. Sad that a football program can cover for one of their assistant coaches who commits dozens of times one of the most heinous acts possible and not get any backlash from the NCAA. But if a coach picks up a player from the airport or provides him with extra grape jelly during breakfast it's considered an NCAA vioation.

Gents, I'm going to request some decorum on this issue. That request specifically refers to the heinousness of the crimes, not with disparaging JoePa or the PSU admins who allowed this to go on with more than adequate & appalling knowledge. I'm fine with that.
Just... please... for the sake of those specific victims & those already victimized, let's try to process the vileness with something other than humor. Thanks, & I do understand that's how humans typically do things. Just think the severity of the world-destroying filth supersedes our common response & tone.
Tear that freaking name from the record books. Every. Single. One.
Rest in Peace, theu75.

I became a fan of JoePa after the 86-87 title game. I didn't think it was possible to beat UM and I all ways gave him credit for that. I hate people who prey on kids because they're not here by their choice. I think the mental pressure got to him because he knew all this was coming. This man had football and skeletons all these years and when football was taking away the skeletons consumed him. Very sad story.

Tear that freaking name from the record books. Every. Single. One. Remove that statue. I truly don't understand why it's so hard for the world to come to terms with Paterno's failings. He was legendary in several different ways. He was more concerned with protecting the program and university from scrutiny than children from a rapist. He knowingly turned a blind eye to it. In doing so, the molestation of children continued and the list of victims grew. He almost got what he worked his entire life for, perceived perfection. He was a legendary fraud, phony, criminal, coward and coach.

Wow. This is an incredible video/series of emails. This is damning for both the University, the ex-employees and Jo Pa. However, I agree, it wont be an issue with the NCAA.

Of course they knew and covered. What I can't determine is the why part. Everyone in football knew they knew. Why else was Jerry never offered a job anywhere else? Maybe the University was paying him not to coach to cover their own asses.
Will anyone be disappointed if the College Park Beaver Stadium stands are packed to the brim next year? If they are, then PSU goes unpunished.

Yeah, a university covers abominations against children, but we're getting gigged for someone paying for bowling shoes.
Upside down.
