A Leach story
Quick story. My friend and I drove to Jax to see Texas Tech play Virginia in the 08 Gator Bowl. It was the beginning of the 4th quarter and TT was losing by 14. We decided to leave. I wish we would have stayed! READ HERE
Thats what this guy does. He did it it time and time again with inferior talent. WE WANT THIS GUY!

Can someone explain to me exactly how he blew his last interview? Did he go naked, drunk...what was it?

Inother words, when given time, opposing coaches can easily handle the gimmick. Guys, the man is not coming here. His teams never play defense. He is not charismatic at all, and would get murdered recruiting in state. He is mostly considered a one trick pony joke, and would enrage half the fan base after one year of no run game, no defense.
He had double digits wins ONCE, in the state of Texas, with that "prolific offense"'. He never won the Big 12. He never even played for the Big 12 crown. His best draft prospect was Tim Couch. He is 5-4 in bowl games. He had a fertile recruiting ground, was in a major conference, and never beat out the big coaches for top kids. Oklahama won it's last championship a year AFTER the guy left.
He has literally done nothing but put up flashy numbers against mediocre teams, but ALWAYS lost to quality opponents. He would be a DISASTER here.

Do yourselves a. favor and look. up his records specifically versus opponents. Wikipedia has a great way of seeing the losses in each season with a pink highlights. When you see who he lost too, it was basically every ranked team he ever played. In other words, every single time he faced a legit team, he got smacked.

While you are looking at wiki, take a look at what recruits he gets after texas ou and a&m take the ones that they want. FIU, FAU and S.Fla are sittimg in a fertile recruiting ground. How's that working out for them?

305 you are assuming that TT was a legit program. When Leach took over they were pretty much the laughing stock of Texas. Dude built the program, got them to national prominence (week after week on prime time ABC). The guy is legit and WANTS to coach here. I say at least give him an interview then trust the process.
