any updates on how the players are taking, etc? we know word is spreading about candidates, but itd be nice to hear how folks currently at the U are.

Not an insider or anything but im friends with a few players personalky and a good bit on fb and they were pissed lastnight
Many stated it was all his fault and that he didnt deserve to br fired.prob emotions in the moment but idk

Shannon couldn't motivate. I'm just glad this over. I hope the guys in the doghouse, can finally get a shot on the field.

Im sure Vette will know how players are feeling. It hurts Im sure. But its better for them to.

7cane if the guys were in the dog house it was for a reason... There was a reason why Benjamin never came off the field... Thompkins and Streeter wasnt that good and Davon Johnson was hurt... Personally, I think Shannon was to close to home for a head coach gig... A lot of these players family members grew up with shannon... They remember the "talk smack"/ "selling out" shannon not the "professional" Shannon... They were to comfortable around him... That being said, I think he will get another opportunity somewhere in the future and we will find a good head coach which will put these players in place... Right now every position is up for grab... Win now!!!!

Yeah fellas, mixed bag of opinions throughout the team.. Most are just anxious for the next step.. I think they see the opportunity to compete on a level playing field for PLAYING TIME.. No loyalties to certain players anymore... I've heard a couple transfers mentioned but I think it will calm down once the new staff is hired... I've also heard several guys thrilled we made a change... That's another story for another day though, lol...

lauderdaleballer95, I used to stream what about Streeter. I seen him yesterday, and the drop balls. I thought the Northwestern Boys just wanted Harris over Morris. I don't really now. I just can't wait to hear the good word. I'm looking forward to the bowl. Just to see the mood of the team. Waiting for 1:30 to hear what Kirby has to say. Go Canes.

I dont know 7cane... When you dont play you seize the opportunity... The wideouts played like they have all season long... They sucked... most may allude to that being the case but I just think they arent that good... i mean only two mnw players played at wideout so that couldnt be the case... And two the wideuts struggled all year with drops... Why would I drop passes when I dont play... We have hyped up these players but havent done anything... One person I think was a victim of this was Collier... He gave his all yet the fans wanted Thompkins... I bet we all wished Collier was now here...

That being said I'm excited as well... But did the fans really needed to have a fire Shannon banner??? The university supported him, but as fans that was classless... I think shannon will do fine in the future... It takes time to build a champion and this is a high pressured job for a novice... He did pretty good as compared to his peers who are at other schools... He'll learn from his mistakes and move on... The university we'll be fine as well... I like how Shala supported him through thick and thin... Its good to know that you have a boss that gives you an opportunity while realizing what it takes to be successful... I think both parties will grow and become successful...

The sign was classless. The attendance was a eye opener. I liked Shannon. But, he didn't get the job done. A. Johnson I expected better from him. Shannon was too uptight and private. I hope Kirby can get Gruden.
