Brother of three former Miami Hurricanes, 2014 athlete Treon Harris is not focused on recruiting at the moment. He is just concentrating on one thing, and that is winning on the big stage.
“Not right now,” Harris said about any leading colleges. “I am not really worried about that. I am just focused on winning a national championship this year. Next year maybe that will come into my head where I want to go.”
The Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington High School quarterback went to Florida State recently to participate in their camp.
“I got an offer from Florida State,” Harris said. “I like it. It is an elite school. A lot of top prospects go there.”
Harris, 5'11 and 182-pounds, has the ability to play quarterback and defensive back at the next level. “Most of my offers are for quarterback. They are saying it is up to me when I get to the next level.”
He added that his intentions are to stay at quarterback. In a college, he wants a winning tradition and early playing time.
“I am looking for a winning school and starting when I get there because I am going to work hard when I get there. I want to go to a winning program.”
Tim Harris, Brandon Harris and Thearon Collier all were involved in athletics at the University of Miami, so you could say it’s a family tradition to attend The U. Harris recognizes that, but says it will not be a deciding factor.
“A tradition, I feel it but I am going where my heart tells me to go.”
