The South Florida Express-Elite was one of the most talented teams at the IMG National 7-on-7 tournament that took place this past weekend in Bradenton (Fla.). Top 2014 wide receiver prospect Ermon Lane was there to help his team and perfect his craft.
Recently, the Homestead (Fla.) High School standout camped at the Al Golden Football Camp.
“I did good,” Lane said about his performance at the one-day camp. “I talk to Coach (George) McDonald, the wide receivers coach and the head coach, Al Golden. They are good people.”
Going in, Lane already held an offer from the ‘Canes and is very interested in them. “It’s high,” Lane said of his interest level. "Because that’s my dream school. I like Michael Irvin, I like Devin Hester and Roscoe Parrish.”
At 6’2, 175-pounds, he is one of the top upcoming junior prospects in the state of Florida and is getting plenty of interest by elite programs. He named “Florida State and Alabama” as other colleges he is considering.
His decision is likely to come his senior year and it will come down to two things. “Me coming in and playing. I don’t really want to be far away from home, my mom.”
