Cincinnati (OH) Moeller High School star Alex Gall told CaneInsider.com that he recently committed to the Miami Hurricanes while on down in Coral Gables (Fla.).
Gall, 6’5 and 295-pounds, recently came out with his top eight with Miami and Wisconsin as his top two. He was waiting for a Wisconsin offer, but apparently chose to pull the trigger today during his family vacation trip to Miami.
The ‘Canes landed a very knowledgeable offensive tackle who understands his position well. Here are some quotes by Gall from a recent interview with CaneInsider.com.
On the UM coaching staff: “Coach Kehoe came and saw me, and so did Coach Carroll,” Gall said. “So, I got to talk to those guys. I have talked to all of the coaches on the staff. I am in contact with them. They are looking for three or four offensive lineman this year. They are pretty low, they had to take a couple walk-ons this year. They basically said when you’re ready and you feel right that is when we want you to do it. We don’t want you to rush into anything. We want everything to be right and there not be any questionable things.”
On the level of his commitment: “When I commit I am going to stay with my commitment. Nothing is going to sway me when I commit. I am not going to change my mind and I will make the best decision I can.”
