Mount Pleasant (Tex.) High School wide receiver K.D. Cannon is arguably a top five receiver prospect in the nation for the 2014 class. Cannon has a lot of schools that he seems to like and one of them is Miami.
When asked about how the recruiting process is going for him, he said “It’s going great, it’s overwhelming. All these schools want me to play for them.” Schools that have been showing him interest include, “SMU, TCU, Texas, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.”
As for Miami, the top ranked wide out has a special place in his heart for them saying, “I grew up liking Miami.”
Although Cannon does like Miami, he admitted that he hasn't been in contact with Miami coaches as of late. He is looking forward to a new season for his team.
“We are going to be really good this year, last year we had a whole bunch of young people,” Cannon said. “So this year we will be really good.”
The Texas super star will be looking for several things when choosing a college. “Great tradition, great academics, good coaches and a winning program.”
Cannon, 6'1 and 160-pounds, had 61 receptions last year along with 1,004 yards and 10 touchdowns.
