The second two a day practice session is today and the Miami Hurricanes are battling through it quite nicely. Head coach Al Golden says "we're starting to learn how to work. I don't think conditioning's really a factor right now. I think we're starting to hone in and concentrate more. We're finishing plays better..."
Golden seemed pleased with the progress of the team overall and says the practices before Sunday's scrimmage will be key to position battles and to accessing the team overall.
Running back's coach Terry Richardson says that he likes where he sits at his positions with the guys he has even though there's no presumptive "guy" to lead the team like Lamar Miller did in 2011.
"The way we're doing things right now, in my mind I'm preparing all the guys in the stable to be game ready. Right now I feel comfortable about a lot of guys, I feel like that's a luxury. To have three of four guys that you feel comfortable that can go in the game an win it for you."
Quick Notes:
-Jimmy Gaines and Jelani Hamilton are back.
-Thomas Finnie practiced in shells and shorts.
-Ricardo Williams is focused on his pass rush
-Seantreal Henderson still not practicing.
-True freshmen will be able to talk during tomorrow's media day so look out for comments from them. Hopefully Tracy Howard and Duke Johnson will be made available.
