Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) University School 6'4, 320-pound offensive lineman Jordan Budwig camped at Miami in the month of June and won the OL MVP Award. Since then, the rising senior hasn’t heard much from the program that he did so well at.
“Nothing much has been going on just working out and stuff,” Budwig said of his summer. “I haven’t heard from the UM coaches since the camp.”
He continued.
“I talked to Art Kehoe (Miami offensive line coach) at the camp and I asked him if they will be in contact and he said without a doubt, but he never told me to call him or contacted me through my coach.”
With the uncertainty of where he stands with the UM program, he named Florida State as the school recruiting him the hardest right now.
“Probably Florida State, they loved me at their camp,” Budwig said. “They said I was the best lineman at their camp. They didn’t offer me at the camp, they wanted to wait until their next one and evaluate the talent there and get back to me. I have been in contact with them since the camp, their recruiting coordinator Coach (Eddie) Gran.”
His decision date is “still up in the air,” but he already knows what he is looking for in a school.
“It’s going to come down to who shows me the most love, where I fit in the best and who gives me the best opportunity with education and playing time.”
