The Orlando (Fla.) Timber Creek Wolves is home to 2015 running back Jaques Patrick. He holds a Miami offer along with LSU, Auburn, Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Florida State, UCF and Vanderbilt.
At 6’2, 200-pounds as a freshman, it is easy to see why so many colleges are impressed by him. The UM coaching staff talked with Patrick yesterday to express their interest and tell him where he stands on their list.
“Yeah,” Patrick said about speaking with Miami coaches. “They told me I’m at the top of their board at the running back position for 2015.”
He added, “Coach Golden said that.”
Originally, Patrick was planning to visit the Hurricanes August 17th, but could be seeing them sooner.
“Maybe the (August) 11th or 12th because school starts the (August) 20th,” Patrick said about a potential visit.
While he does have interest in the Canes, he "can't elaborate" too much about them because he hasn't seen their program. Miami wide receivers coach George McDonald is recruiting him, and was the coach that came to his school to offer him.
