Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington High School is home to 2014 defensive end Chad Thomas. He is one of the top prospects in the Sunshine State and already holds offers from colleges in the SEC and ACC, among others.
“LSU, Florida State, Mississippi, Miami and Marshall” have offered and when it comes to recruiting, he said “Everything’s good.”
The Miami Hurricanes are showing him a lot of interest lately. “UM has been coming at me hard,” Thomas said.“Coach (Michael) Barrow that is the [coach] I speak to a lot. He has been telling me that I am the person they are looking for and telling me stuff to work on during the summer. He is making want to stay home a lot.”
He continued.
“I like them,” Thomas said of the Hurricanes. “Well, it is like a fast pace team. A lot of the people I went to high school with or played against play there. It’s close to home and my family can see me play. Barrow is like an uncle to me.”
Does he have a leader?
“My top two are Florida State and Miami.”
In a college, he is looking for a good music program. “College, I go to school for music, the New World School of Arts. I want to go to a school that has a good music program.”
The 6’4, 230-pound defensive end wants to start working at tight end in high school to give colleges another position to recruit him at.
