The Miami Hurricanes had their first scrimmage of the season this past weekend and it drew in quite a few recruits. Delray Beach (Fla.) Atlantic High School athlete Brisly Estime (5'9/170)watched on as Miami players fought for starting jobs.
It was good, Estime said about the scrimmage that turned into an offensive showcase. I mean everybody knows their part and what to do. They were running good.
He added that the atmosphere "was great.
While watching the scrimmage, he was keying on several freshman players that have been talked about throughout south Florida.
I was watching a couple players, Estime said. Duke Johnson, Tracy Howard and Deon Bush, they are good. I heard about them.
When asked where the Canes stand, Estime said, If I get their offer, I will probably go there. It is in my backyard.
The Hatian native was originally deemed ineligible for the majority of his senior season due to the FHSAA age limit for high school athletes. Last week, he appealed the rule and was clear to play his full senior season at Atlantic.
At first I found out I had two games I hardly wanted to practice, but now I can play the whole season I practice hard.
His ability to play the full season will help his chances of reeling in more D-1 scholarship offers. He already holds over a dozen offers at the moment and will be searching mainly academics in a college.
When I commit I will be looking for education and a good football season. I want to get a degree.
