Pro-style QB Chase Litton (Tampa (Fla.) Wharton HS) is high on Miami right now. The 2014 prospect has one offer from LSU, but could end up a Cane this summer according to sources. At 6'6 and 200-pounds, he is a hot topic recruit that 'Canes fans should keep a close eye on.

Defensive end Jordan Sherit did not attend Miami’s spring game last Saturday. He opted to visit Vanderbilt instead. When asked about his current interest in UM he said, “They are definitely up there. They haven’t changed one bit in my eyes.” Sherit is becoming one of the most recruited ends in the country, and he should be. He has a very impressive frame at 6'4 and 245-pounds. He is athletic enough to play on all-star 7v7 teams. http://www.caneinsider.com/content/1...wards-top.html
Big-time DT recruit and 4 star prospect Jaynard Bostwick feels good about Miami. He recently told CaneInsider.com that, “I’d say Miami is number one for me right now.” He already talks to the coaching staff a lot and plans to visit them soon on an unofficial visit. http://www.caneinsider.com/content/1...umber-one.html
Blake Orvis, a tight end from Orlando (Fla.) Boone, was at Miami’s spring game as well. He enjoyed his time there and had a lot of one-on-one time with the coaches. They told him in not so many words that if Mike Heuerman falls through, they will increase their recruiting efforts with him. That obviously makes him a plan B, but Orvis is very understanding and wants the opportunity to show what he can do during the Al Golden Camp. His brother also plays baseball for the ‘Canes.
UM is starting to show more interest to 2013 CB Troy McCollum. While he doesn’t hold an offer, the coaches will be visiting him this spring to further evaluate him. At the spring game, he came away impressed with freshman corner Larry Hope and all of the playing time he had. In reference to Hope, McCollum told CaneInsider.com that, “I know if I work hard enough, I can end up like him.”
Miami D-tackle commit Keith Bryant has been taking a lot of visits lately. Nothing new here as we reported a while ago that he didn’t have a choice in the matter because his mom is making him get out there. One of the schools Bryant recently visited is LSU. He mentioned the distance as a factor which leads me to believe Miami is in good shape if he considers Louisiana far away from home. He did tell TigerSportsWorld.com that the Tigers will be one of his officials. http://www.tigersportsworld.com/cont...elray-Beach-FL
