Jacoby Briscoe committed to his dream school, the Miami Hurricanes, and just came back from his official visit. The 6'4, 290 pound defensive tackle gave his thoughts on his time at the University of Miami.
“I loved it,” said Briscoe. “The people in Miami are great. Even people I didn’t know were coming up and asking me if I was Jacoby Briscoe. I was like yeah that’s me. They were welcoming me with warm arms. As far as the team, they look out for each other. I like that stuff. It was fun, I had a good time.”
The visit didn’t do much to his commitment status as he was very solid before the visit. “No, nothing changed at all. It is solid.”
He had a chance to talk with several of the other Miami recruits including Dequan Ivery, Earl Moore and Avery Young while down in Coral Gables.
“I talked with Dequan Ivery, Earl Moore and Avery Young. They are real cool. Everybody in Miami is cool. I think Dequan enjoyed himself. Avery is looking at all types of schools, so I don’t know about him.”
The Miami coaching staff made Briscoe feel welcomed and built a good relationship with him while on the visit. “I talked to basically all of them," said Briscoe. "I talked with coach Franklin, coach Brown and coach Golden. I just can’t wait to get there and be around them.”
Miami wide receiver Rashawn Scott hosted Briscoe and the two hit it off. “Rashawn Scott is cool, I liked him.” He also hung out with two Miami defensive lineman. “I was with the d-lineman Curtis Porter and Jalen Grimble.”
