CaneINsider has learned that 2014 defensive back J.C. Jackson is set to visit Miami this weekend. Jackson who is currently committed to Florida will visit Miami officially after having taken over three unofficial visits. The four star defensive back is from a talented Immokalee High School program that has produced several great college football talents.
Miami and head coach Al Golden who are headed to the Russell Athletic Bowl later this month, are trying to close out this recruiting class and are looking to add a defensive back with the ability to play safety and Jackson could be it. His father favors the Hurricanes but his uncle favors the Florida Gators. The tie to the Gators is a good one for Jackson, he has a close friend with whom his bond has developed and they’d like to play together.
Though what may be more important to Jackson is the ability to play early and Miami presents some real opportunities to do so for the talented Southwest Florida prospect. Jackson’s decision will likely be decided on signing day in February. Stay with CaneINsider for more on Jackson’s recruitment and other Miami Hurricane prospects as signing day 2014 approaches.
