Delray Beach (Fla.) Village Academy DE Kevin Bronson’s (6’4/242) stock is on the rise. The elusive defensive end picked up a ‘Canes scholarship offer just two days ago, after being evaluated by Miami’s Tight End’s coach Brennan Carroll. “I’m very excited,” Bronson said. “I’m very happy you know, it’s the university of Miami.”
He also holds nine other offers from schools such as Arkansas, Georgia Southern, Marshall, Massachusetts, Rutgers, South Florida, UCF and Western Kentucky.
Bronson, stated what he liked about UM was, “How it’s an up-and-coming program, and that they run a 3-4 (defense), it’s ‘The U’.”
He plans to attend Al Golden’s camp this Sunday, and if the visit goes well he may end up committing. “It’s possible, if I like the campus” Bronson said. “I guess after I work out they will show me around and stuff like that, so it’s a possibility.”
Another thing going in Miami’s favor is that Bronson is astonished with how many players Miami has put into the league. “How they put players into the league, and the brotherhood they have,” Bronson said. “Ray Lewis talks about the brotherhood that they have, and they put tremendous players in the league like Vince Wilfork, Jonathan Vilma, Ed Reed, Travis Benjamin, Andre Johnson, I can keep going on.”
Last season he recorded 58 tackles, and six sacks.
